How do you rent out your boat?

If you have a boat that you want to rent out in Sweden this is what you need to know. A sailboat up to a value of 200.000 SKR (aprox $ 2.800) has a week value of 2.5-3 %, i.e. up to 6000 SKR ($840). A motorboat is rated a little bit higher.

You decide the prize and can reject a suggested customer and you decide yourself whom is going to rent your boat.

In the contract is everything your tenant needs to know about insurance, the equipment, prized, time and place for check out, etc.

The normal renting period is from 16.00 sunday till 14.00 following sunday. For boats with insurance in Sweden will allow renting if you yourself will administer the contact with the other party and does not leave this to a renting company. Please check this with your insurance company before renting out your boat. Usually you can get an additional insurance if this is not the case.
